Conquer Diablo 4 Season 12's toughest content with these 10 Max-Damage Builds - Provide by IGGM

Diablo 4 Season 12 runs for only two months, with the new expansion slated for late April taking center stage for the development team. That means major balance adjustments are unlikely to be a priority.

Season 12 has been underway for some time now, and many players have already reached the endgame, striving to push their damage to the limit. With that in mind, IGGM is here to present the ten builds that deliver the highest damage output and strongest survivability, enough to take on the season’s most demanding challenges.

10. Pulverize Druid

This is the sole Druid build to make the list. It may not be a fast or agile option, but it delivers the most explosive damage of any Druid setup.

Built around Werebear form, its core gameplay revolves around slamming the ground. You’ll want to utilize a Diablo 4 item, Rotting Lightbringer, to create a poison-focused variant that leverages Overpower mechanic and generates toxic pools for damage.

If you’re aiming to maximize your damage output, you can take advantage of a game mechanic: by quickly sweeping your mouse – stepping away from the pool beneath you and then returning the moment you cast Pulverize again – you’ll create a new pool while triggering splash damage from all existing pools.

Of course, even without this trick, this build remains Druid’s strongest option. But if you have your sights set on the leaderboards, mastering this technique is essential.

9. Payback Spiritborn

Payback Spiritborn relies on Rod of Kepeleke, which turns your Core Skill into a Basic Skill and removes its resource cost. However, when cast at full Vigor, it consumes all your Vigor and greatly amplifies the skill’s power.

Paired with Ring of the Midnight Sun, landing a Critical Strike restores 50% of Vigor spent in the previous two seconds. With this build’s high critical hit frequency, you can cycle between fully depleting and instantly replenishing your Vigor, enabling sustained skill usage.

8. Earthquake Barbarian

Earthquake Barbarian has several variations, including HoTA Earthquake Barbarian and Whirlwind Earthquake Barbarian. Among them, Whirlwind variant tends to perform better.

Whether you choose HoTA or Whirlwind, both serve primarily as triggers for Earthquake, which is the main source of damage. As a result, you don’t need to invest heavily in leveling these skills. The key lies in Diablo 4 Rune – Tec – to trigger Barbarian’s Earthquake, damaging enemies within the area.

For Whirlwind variant, you combine Tec Rune with Bac Rune, allowing you to trigger Earthquakes while moving. Lith, on the other hand, works differently and is better suited for HoTA variant.

7. Golem Necromancer

Golem Necromancer allows your Golem skill to summon three smaller golems while significantly enhancing their power. From there, you simply stack every multiplier that boosts golem damage.

While this is technically a summoning build, the damage actually comes from manually activating your Golem skill. When activated, the golem unleashes a massive burst of damage, so the playstyle is far from the traditional passive summoner approach. You’ll want to reduce the cooldown of Golem skill as much as possible to activate it more often for those explosive hits.

6. Crackling Energy Sorcerer

Crackling Energy Sorcerer build is centered around generating as much Crackling Energy as possible, spreading it, and amplifying its damage.

Crackling Energy isn’t a skill, but a unique Sorcerer mechanic. Various skills, abilities, and items allow you to generate Crackling Energy. When you pick up these small blue orbs, you store them as charges.

You’ll want to rely on Esadora’s Overflowing Cameo to consolidate Crackling Energy’s damage, enabling high single-target output.

5. Heartseeker Rogue

While Death Trap Rogue is more well-rounded, Heartseeker Rogue excels in The Pit. This build requires Orphan Maker to reach its full potential.

When using Orphan Maker, your Basic and Core Skills gain a reload mechanic. Reloaded skills deal significantly increased damage, and each time you use a reloaded skill, this bonus increases by an additional 100% over two seconds. Combined with other mechanics and numerous buffs, this allows you to deal exceptional damage, though it’s a bit more intricate than other builds.

4. Shadowblight Necromancer

Shadowblight Necromancer revolves around Shadowblight key passive, which causes Shadow Damage to infect enemies and stack Shadowblight effects. Every eighth instance of Shadow Damage triggers a massive burst.

This build doesn’t focus on the magnitude of individual hits but rather on stacking as many instances of Shadow Damage as possible to trigger the eighth-hit burst as quickly as possible. Frequency is key, not raw damage per hit.

3. Hammer of the Ancients / Lunging Strike Barbarian

These two Barbarian builds derive their damage from different sources, but both are exceptionally strong. HoTA Barbarian stacks Fury and unleashes shockwaves to eliminate enemies, while Lunging Strike Barbarian is a relentless charging build. Both perform similarly in The Pit.

To fully resolve resource issues, both builds rely on Melted Heart of Selig mythic item in endgame. If you would rather not spend a massive amount of materials at the Blacksmith only to roll an uncertain Mythic item, then come check out IGGM. Here, you can buy Diablo 4 items you need, whether it’s a Mythic Unique or a Legendary Rune, and IGGM will fulfill your order with lightning speed.

2. Auradin / Wing Strike / Blessed Hammer Paladin

The strengths among these is remarkably close, each offering something unique. Without grouping them together, the top ten would be almost entirely dominated by Paladin builds.

Auradin Paladin stands as one of the most powerful and straightforward builds in the game. Simply activate your aura, and you’ll passively eliminate everything around you.

Wing Strike Paladin focuses on maintaining 100% uptime on Arbiter form, as choosing Disciple Oath grants Wing Strike effect. While in Arbiter form, your wings automatically strike nearby enemies.

Blessed Hammer Paladin involves continuously casting Blessed Hammer. It might not be the strongest build for pushing high-tier content, but it’s among the fastest for speed-clearing.

1. Shield of Retribution Paladin

Shield of Retribution Paladin is a Thorns-based build. You hurl your shield, which slowly advances forward, obliterating everything in its path.

The key lies in stacking Resolve and continuously accumulating Thorns damage. Once fully set up, you can throw your shield repeatedly without any resource cost.

While Diablo 4 Season 12 leaderboards are heavily dominated by Paladins, IGGM has made an effort to ensure that each class is represented among the top builds, giving you the flexibility to adapt as you see fit.
